The camp will be held <strong>June 5-8, 2024<\/strong>, at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p>Students entering seventh grade in 2024 are eligible to attend and are selected by Kankakee Valley REMC to participate in the four-day program.<\/p>\n<p>This dynamic three-day camp includes the following activities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electricity generation and transmission education<\/li>\n<li>Horseback riding<\/li>\n<li>Bucket truck rides<\/li>\n<li>Rock climbing<\/li>\n<li>Archery<\/li>\n<li>Alternative energy education<\/li>\n<li>Internet safety<\/li>\n<li>Zipline<\/li>\n<li>Live line safety demonstration<\/li>\n<li>Swimming, and much, much more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kankakee Valley REMC pays all expenses for the trip, except for travel to\/from the camp and incidental expenses of the participants while at the camp.<\/p>\n<p>The Camp Kilowatt program was developed by a committee of electric cooperative employees from Indiana.
