COVID-19: Important Update

Committed To You

At Kankakee Valley REMC the safety of our employees and the community has always been a top priority.  We want to take all available precautions and have chosen to close the Kankakee Valley REMC lobby to the public beginning on Wednesday, March 18.  We want you to know that we are doing our part to stay focused on maintaining a healthy workforce and keeping key personnel available at all times.  This allows us to continue to provide you with the excellent service you expect from us.

Alternate Ways To Pay

We can all do our part to take measures to prevent the spread of germs.  The most effective way we can lower the risk of COVID-19 for our families is through the prevention of exposure. While our lobby is closed, we encourage you to take advantage of alternate ways to pay your bill.  Your cooperative offers the following bill pay options:

  1. Online Bill Pay: Log onto and click on Login/Pay My Bill at the top of the page.
  2. Phone Payment: Use our Interactive Voice Response system (IVR) to pay your electric bill 24/7.  You can also pay directly with a customer service representative (CSR) Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST or after hours with a live agent at our after-hours call facility.
  3. E-Check & Credit Card: Make a check by phone or electronic funds transfer payment over the phone with a CSR.  We also can accept a credit card payment by phone with no additional fees.
  4. Drop Box:  The payment drop box is located in front of the KV REMC building.

Disconnection Policy Suspended-Updated Information

Your cooperative understands that due to the temporary closures of businesses, some families might experience financial hardships.  At this time we have suspended disconnections and penalties for non-payment of monthly electric bills. We will notify our member-consumers by email, Facebook or on the website when this suspension has been lifted.  Though disconnections will not occur, it remains the responsibility of each account holder to pay as they can.  This will help avoid a larger balance in the future.

Focused On You

Again, we recognize the important role we have in the community and for you.  Keeping your lights on is our commitment to you.  While you are focused on your family, know that we are focused on you.  We will keep our member-consumers informed on future operational changes via the website, Facebook and e-mail messages.
