Description of Event

Interested in a Future Career With A Trade After High School? 

Juniors and Seniors in high school interested in joining the trades after graduation are invited to attend a Trades Camp sponsored by Kankakee Valley REMC and Indiana Electric Cooperatives.

This one-day event will include professionals from the following trades: electricians, construction, pipefitters, plumbers, operators, sprinkler fitters, and journeyman linemen.

What Will the Camp Include?

The event will occur at the Kankakee Valley REMC headquarters in Wanatah on November 2 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The morning will allow attendees to learn more about each trade, what a day in the life of the trade looks like, and what students can do now to prepare best to enter the workforce.

The afternoon sessions will include hands-on activities led by trades professionals.
