Description of Event
To be a candidate for the REMC board of directors, you must be nominated by petition. 
Elections will take place for three open positions on the board of directors. The Kankakee Valley REMC membership will elect a board member from District 3, District 5, and one At-Large Director.
Mandatory Directorship Meeting: Members interested in running for directorship must attend either in person or virtually a directorship training meeting. Meetings will be held in person at the KV REMC office in Wanatahand virtually on the following dates:
• Thursday, June 20 at 9:00 a.m. CT
• Monday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m. CT

To be eligible to run for directorship, member-consumers must reside in a township within one of the districts up for election. The At-Large position is open to member-consumers residing in an area KV REMC serves. All candidates are required to attend a mandatory meeting in June. An in-person and virtual option is available for attendees. Director elections will take place at the member appreciation day/annual business meeting on September 26, 2024.
