RATE SCHEDULE SP
SEASONAL POWER SERVICE

The Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) shall charge and collect for seasonal power electric service on the following bases of availability, application, character of service, monthly rate, minimum charge, purchased power cost adjustment clause, and tax adjustment.

AVAILABILITY:

Available to any member of the REMC requiring seasonal service of not less than twenty-five (25) KVA installed transformer capacity.

CHARACTER OF SERVICE:

1. Single phase, 60 cycles at approximately 120/240 volts.
2. Multi phase, 60 cycles at Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation‘s standard voltages.

MONTHLY RATE:

Minimum Monthly Charge:

The minimum monthly charge shall be the “facilities charge”.

Determination of Billing Demand:

The billing demand shall be the maximum average KW load used by the customer for any period of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered as indicated or recorded by a maximum load meter installed by the REMC.

Power Cost Adjustment:

The amount computed at the above monthly rate shall be adjusted plus or minus by an amount calculated in accordance with the formula specified in the Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation’s Purchased Power Cost Adjustment Clause (Appendix A) which is a part of the “Monthly Rate” of this rate schedule.

The billing demand shall be adjusted for power factor as provided herein.

Power Factor:

A billing demand adjustment shall be made when the average power factor falls below ninety (90) percent. The billing demand shall be determined by multiplying the metered demand (KW) by ninety (90) percent and dividing by the percent power factor, if below ninety (90) percent.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:

1. Service shall be provided in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation’s Service Policies and Bylaws.
2. The terms of payment shall be in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation’s Service Policies and Bylaws.
3. The member may be required to enter into a written agreement stating the character of load, minimum contract period, minimum monthly charge, and other charges, if any.
