RATE SCHEDULE SL
SECURITY LIGHTING SERVICE
The Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) shall charge and collect for security lighting service on the following bases of availability, character of service, monthly rate, and tax adjustment.
AVAILABILITY:
Available to any member of the REMC for continuous, year-round service for outdoor lighting where 120 volt service exists ahead of the meter loop.
CHARACTER OF SERVICE:
A dusk-to-dawn outdoor lighting service using lamps and equipment available under this schedule. This includes photoelectric control equipment, lighting fixture, mast arm and 175 watt bulb. Any additional investment required by the extension of secondary lines, or hanging of a transformer, or installation of a pole for the sole purpose of this service, will require a contribution by the member.
MONTHLY RATE:

| 175 watt mercury vapor @ $8.44 per light, per month 400 watt mercury vapor @ $14.47 per light, per month |

| Monthly rates will not be pro-rated for service outages. | |
TAX ADJUSTMENT:
The amount computed at the above monthly rate shall be subject to taxes, assessments, and surcharges imposed by any governmental authority.
BILLING:
The security light charge will be billed separately on the member’s regular bill and shall be due at the same time and on the same terms as the member’s regular bill.
MAINTENANCE AND OWNERSHIP:
The REMC shall install, own and maintain security lights installed under this agreement. Maintenance of security lights shall be routinely scheduled during normal working hours at the REMC’s convenience. The member shall be required to pay for replacements due to vandalism or willful destruction.
