RATE SCHEDULE OSL
ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTING SERVICE

The Kankakee Valley Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) shall charge and collect for ornamental street lighting service on the following bases of availability, character of service, monthly rate, and tax adjustment.

AVAILABILITY:

Available to any Property Owner’s Association (P.O.A.) served by the REMC with continuous, year-round service for outdoor lighting where 120 volt service exists ahead of the meter loop.

CHARACTER OF SERVICE:

Only power service is available under this schedule. Power service is for lighting service where the REMC supplies only un-metered capacity and energy required for area lighting service. The developer or property owners’ association is responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the lighting equipment. Any additional investment required by the extension of secondary lines, or hanging of a transformer, or installation of additional poles for the sole purpose of this service, will require a contribution by the P.O.A. The lighting equipment remains the property of the developer or property owners’ association and the REMC will not be responsible for any costs of operating and maintaining such equipment.

Tax Adjustment:

The amount computed at the above monthly rate shall be subject to taxes, assessments, and surcharges imposed by any governmental authority.
