In Case of a Power Outage

Kankakee Valley REMC works hard to keep your electric service reliable. Still, outages from storms, accidents and equipment failure can occur. If you lose power, check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Next, see if your neighbors still have power. To report an outage, call us toll-free at 1-800-552-2622. Our dispatcher will need your name, phone number, address and your REMC location number where the power has gone-off. That number appears on your monthly electric bill.

NEVER touch or move a down power line or anything that’s touching a power line.
