Flight of Honor-Honor Flight Network

The Honor Flight Network was created to honor American's veterans, recognizing them for their sacrifices for our great county.  Each year, the Honor Flight Network transports veterans to Washington D.C. to visit memorials, honor their sacrifices. Kankakee Valley REMC has supported the Honor Flight of Greater Lafayette for several years.  Then men and women who oversee the program provide an experience of a lifetime for the veterans as they take this one day amazing trip.

Last October, Don Roberts, a Kankakee Valley REMC member from Hebron, participated in an Honor Flight.  If you attended the Kankakee Valley REMC meeting in April, you heard Mr. Roberts share his Honor Flight experience.  If you missed this great presentation, we would like to share the video with you.  Click on the link below to view the presentation.

Mr. Roberts served our country during the Vietnam War.  Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for being an ambassador for the Honor Flight Network program.  If you would like to learn more about the Honor Flight Network, visit honorflight.org or visit the Greater Lafayette Honor Flight website at greaterlafayettehonorflight.org

Thank you to Mr. Robert's daughter, Dana Purcell for allowing us to use this video.
