Ronald E. Pressel and his wife, Loretta, farm in LaPorte county near Walkerton. He has been a member of REMC since 1962 and was elected Director in 1996. He completed his Credentialed Cooperative Director certification in 1998 and earned his Board Leadership certificate in 2000. Ron is a graduate of Purdue, majoring in Agronomy. He served as an electronics specialist in the Army. Ron was an ASCS committeeman, a director for the LaPorte Co. Farm Bureau Co-Op and chairman of LaPorte Co. Soil and Water Conservation District. He is a member and lay leader at Salem Chapel United Methodist Church, belongs to North Liberty Masonic Lodge, #266, active with the LaPorte Fair Pioneer Land Development, and is Vice President of the Indiana Gourd Society.
Ron received his Credentialed Cooperative Director certificate in September 1998.
